Had a delicious dinner and a wonderful experience overall here. Many shareable items/tapas style with a great selection of individual tacos. Loved the Kobe beef taco and the brussel sprouts (special mention for the Korean fried cauliflower)!! The oysters were fresh and the scallop aguachile was great. Staff were quite hospitable and friendly (make a reso)! Would recommend!

By far the best oysters I’ve had any where in the world.. nothing compares to the oysters you can find here vs the US. Small bar vibe, friendly staff, fun atmosphere. Easy to become a regular here, especially on 1/2 marg Monday. I love everything on their menu.

On a recent trip to St. John's I was dragged into the Adelaide Oyster House by my wife, eager to dive into the offerings of local sea food and fusion dining (secretly I think she was heavily influenced by the Cocktail menu). On entering the establishment I was immediately taken with the decor and ambience. It was a modern take on the bar scene that St John's is so well known for. A great little date spot or place for an evening drink and some tasty bites. We ordered oysters on the half shell, I mean who couldn't with 'Oyster House' in the name, and they were promptly shucked and brought over by Sam the bartender. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the oysters, where they were from and the flavor profiles to expect. My wife was in awe with how distinct and flavorful each oyster was, especially since it's so challenging to find tasty seafood back home in Ontario. From that point forward, we were hooked and the rest of the menu did not disappoint. I'd describe the food as modern pub fare with Korean influence. The pork riblets were dynamite, salty, sweet and brimming with umami. The Korean fried chicken had incredible flavour and the 'fried' aspect was balanced perfectly with the Kewpie mayo and savory rice. The only miss on the menu that I tried was the Kobe Beef lettuce wrap as it was dry and slightly overcooked, suffering from having been ground Kobe beef rather than a filet of beef (which I think would be the perfect fix for this dish as the flavour profile was nice). My disappointment was quickly assuaged however as the Blue Fin Crudo came out, a recommendation from our server, and was absolutely phenomenal. The tuna was light, fresh and flavourful, elevated by the cucumber and radish. The dish was accentuated by mango and serrano purees that accented the dish in a colourful, playful border that highlighted the plate. At the end of the mains, we ordered additional cocktails and more of the delicious oysters. When they were brought to the table, again by Sam, we had the pleasure of speaking with him about the area and what brought him to St Johns. Like most residents of the area he was passionate about the city as a whole, advocating for the local music and arts scene which he is deeply connected to. We used many of his recommendations on our trip to much success. All in all I would suggest if you're in the area of downtown St Johns, check out the Adelaide Oyster House as it is in my mind one of the best places in the city.

This restaurant (with a summer patio) is located downtown on Water Street. The atmosphere of this restaurant is lively, and I really enjoyed the music playlists. We sat on the patio couches and enjoyed several different drinks and food items on the menu. The drinks are fantastic with intricate flavour profiles, presented beautifully, and complimenting several of the dishes on the menu. The food menu is diverse, with a lot of Asian & Mexican cuisine influences. We enjoyed Oysters, Korean style wings, Fried Cauliflower, Spicy noodles, brussel sprouts, a birria taco, and a Kobe lettuce wrap. Every dish was absolutely delicious, pretty in appearance, with bold and thoughtfully combined ingredients. Service was a tad bit disorganized, but this can be forgiven as the patio season is just starting and I am sure they will work out the kinks. The staff here are awesome, with welcoming personalities, and always keen to make sure patrons are satisfied. Thanks for a great evening Adelaide Oyster House!

Very busy and way too loud but it's a bar so that's expected- they had great oysters! The guy came out and explained the oysters and their sauce, they had a great selection of beer and I liked that their handheld came as singles. Delicious tacos and oysters, and even though they were packed they had fast service. Best to book a reservation as people were turned away/put on a wait list.

We had a very nice experience dining here. Even my picky toddler was happy with everything they served. The ambiance is nice, music that I liked and the food delicious. My favourite besides the oysters was the fried cauliflower.
